A shore day built around your group and ship call
Planning Borneo cruise shore excursions for a private group? Request a plan for Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Muara / Brunei, Kuching or another Borneo port. Share your ship, date, local arrival and all-aboard times, group size and interests so the planning team can assess what may fit.
Our team previously worked on cruise shore excursions with Exotic Borneo. That is part of the team’s past experience; the operator and contracting entity for any new request must be identified in the booking proposal.
Choose your Borneo port
These are starting points for an enquiry. Photos show destinations, and each route remains subject to checks for your ship call.
Kota Kinabalu shore excursions
Tell us whether your private group prefers city sights, food or cultural interests. The route needs to fit your ship’s actual call and the group’s pace; a destination listing does not confirm an excursion slot.
Sandakan cruise shore excursions
Ask about a Sandakan-area day around your group’s interests, including Sepilok as a possible planning theme. Transfers, site access and the ship-call window need checking before it can be included; wildlife sightings cannot be promised.
Muara/Brunei shore excursions
Share your Brunei interests and your ship’s Muara call details. Muara Port Company identifies its Cruise Ship Centre within Muara Conventional Terminal. Any onward visit, including interest in Kampong Ayer, requires a separate check of transfers, access and available time.
Kuching cruise shore excursions
Use Kuching as a starting point for a request about city, heritage or food interests. Include the exact port or berth named by your cruise line so the operator can assess a realistic route and meeting arrangement.
Other Borneo port
For a different port, include the port name, country and any berth information from your cruise line in your enquiry. If using the form, choose “Another Borneo port”. The team will first need to check whether the request can be supported.
Plan the group before choosing the stops
Tell us the approximate number of guests, preferred pace, main interests and practical access needs. Note whether everyone wants the same private tour or whether the group is considering different interests. Share logistics needs without sensitive medical details.
A proposed plan should set out the route, transport, guiding, inclusions, exclusions, price and booking terms for review. The enquiry alone does not establish any of those details.
Use the ship-call window, including time to return
Send the arrival and all-aboard times in local port time, with the date and ship name. Confirm any difference between ship time and local time with your cruise line. Arrival time is not necessarily the time passengers can leave the ship.
Independent tours do not carry the cruise line’s ship-wait guarantee. Confirm the return plan with the operator and allow a buffer before all-aboard.
Before agreeing a route, the operator needs to allow for disembarkation, the meeting point, road or boat transfers and a return buffer ahead of all-aboard. The buffer must suit that call and local conditions; no fixed transfer time or return guarantee is offered here. Tell the team promptly if the ship schedule changes.
Confirm the operator, port arrangements and booking
Ask the proposed operator to confirm availability, activity access, any port permissions, the exact pickup point and meeting instructions for your call. Use your cruise line or port agent to verify berth, tender and passenger access arrangements; tourism links describe destinations rather than confirming cruise operations.
Sending an enquiry is a request for planning, not a confirmed booking. Review the named operator and contracting entity, itinerary, pickup and return arrangements, price, payment and cancellation terms before agreeing a booking. A reply or submitted form does not reserve transport, guides or activities.
Request a group shore-excursion plan
Send your group’s details for review. This is an enquiry, not a booking confirmation.
This form prepares an email in your email app. Your enquiry is sent only when you press Send there. It does not send anything to a web form service.
If no email app opens, email exborneoian@gmail.com and include your port, ship date, arrival and all-aboard times, approximate group size and interests.
Cruise shore-excursion questions
Does sending the form confirm a booking?
No. It requests a plan. A booking needs a reviewed proposal, a named operator and contracting entity, agreed terms and separate confirmation.
Which details help plan a group excursion?
Include your port, ship or cruise line, date in port, local arrival and all-aboard times, approximate group size, interests, preferred pace and practical access needs.
Which Borneo ports can I request?
You can enquire about Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Muara / Brunei, Kuching or another Borneo port. Support and availability must be checked for each request.
Why do ship-call times matter?
The usable shore window must allow for leaving the ship, pickup, transfers and a return buffer before all-aboard. The operator needs your actual call details to assess whether a route is realistic.
